I really love a simple smoothie, which is why I don’t end up sharing many here on the blog. I don’t want to bore you, and there are so many fabulous smoothie recipes on the Internet that I figure most everything is covered. But this morning, I got around to playing in the kitchen after picking a bowl full of fresh wild thimble berries from the backyard.
I happened to have some fresh oranges and a little coconut milk leftover from my morning cooler, and along with a few bananas, the berries, and other ingredients, I ended up with a concoction that my husband immediately termed a “peppermint candy smoothie” after taking a sip. I had yet to try it, so I was skeptical. But sure enough, it tastes like peppermint candy!
This peppermint candy smoothie is definitely worth sharing, so you’ll find the recipe below. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m willing to bet that this concoction would make an excellent dessert by freezing it for a couple of hours.
On a side note, the house building is coming along quite well and I’m expecting to be able to start really focusing on my food photography and putting together more YouTube videos – so stay tuned!
Oh, and let me know what you think of the peppermint candy smoothie… I’m curious if you like it as much as we do here!
